I’m excited about your free services, but I’m not sure I can afford ongoing coaching. Can I still try the free services?

Absolutely! We understand that you might not be sure if you want to pay for our health and fitness services, which is why we offer the ability to truly try before you buy. It might sound corny, but the truth is, we want to help you get a kick start on your goals. If now isn’t a good time for you to engage in paid services, we are 100% OK with that! We don’t want finances to hold you back from getting a better understanding of where to start in terms of reaching your goals. We don’t collect any form of payment until you feel ready to start with paid services.

There is one small catch (there’s always a catch, right?), each individual is limited to going through a free trial of our services as a one-time-only offer.

Can I choose my coach?

Yes! You can schedule with any coach of your choice. You can learn more about our coaches and their areas of expertise on our team page. If you see someone who you think would be a good fit, feel free to email them directly from their bio page, or you can mention their name on your sign-up form.

If you aren’t sure who you want to work with, no sweat! We take time to pair you with the coach who will be the best fit for your goals.

What kind of plans do I get?

One of the most common questions we get is “do I get a meal plan”? And we get it -- meal plans feel comforting, convenient, and expected. However, meal plans are not exactly synonymous with a true “lifestyle” change. We will absolutely be giving you guidance, ideas, strategies, and suggestions, but we won’t be sending you a cookie cutter meal plan that outlines exactly what to eat because frankly, they don’t work long term. We find that most of our clients have amazing success without the need to count calories or follow a strict meal plan because we are helping them learn the concepts of what healthy eating is really all about, and how to personalize their eating habits to their goals.

If you’re looking for a customized workout plan, we do offer training services, which range from 1:1 personal training to building a workout plan that is tailored to you, that you can do on your own, wherever you prefer to workout!

Can I still sign up for coaching services if I don’t live in Minnesota? Is it required to meet with my coach in person?

Our health coaching services are available in a virtual format, meaning that a client can be anywhere in the U.S. and still be able to connect with one of our health coaches. Coaching sessions can be done via a phone call or via “Telehealth”— a video chat session on our HIPPA compliant platform. Our coaches work with virtual clients to do at home assessments so they can track progress along the way, even without access to our body scanner.


What’s the difference between my coaching sessions and the unlimited access to my coach?

Coaching sessions are dedicated time set aside for you to have a discussion with your coach on your goals, receive and discuss education, talk through challenges and obstacles, and set or modify behavior goals that you’ll track between sessions.

The unlimited access feature is designed to give you quick 24/7 access to your coach for “on demand” needs, such as quick follow-up questions or asking for advice on something health related (like which brand to buy, or what to order at the restaurant later). This feature also includes coach feedback on the goals that you’re tracking in the app and the ability for your coach to touch base with you between sessions to offer a helpful resource, give a suggestion, and to provide motivation and accountability.

How long should I expect to work with my coach?

The amount of time that a client spends with their coach is dependent on the client’s goals and their starting place.

Our goal is to educate and empower you over the course of our relationship so that you are able to self-manage your health goals, and check in with a coach less frequently over time.

You will work with your coach to determine how many sessions you would like to have each month. Our services are designed to be a recurring monthly product, but if you ever need to take a month off, we are able to pause payments.

Long term, our clients can move into our Assessment Only service, where they come in 1-4 times per year for an assessment, as a way to hold themselves accountable to the results they’ve achieved.


Are your coaches qualified to give health advice?

Yes! Our coaches are all Certified Health Coaches, and have formal education and training in nutrition and movement. Additionally, we have a Chief Medical Advisor on staff to support our coaches with any medical questions, insights, or recommendations as they relate to your goals or heath history.

Does this replace the need for a doctor?

No. We don’t practice medicine, prescribe treatment or provide a diagnosis. We view the doctor’s role in health as critical when it comes to medical intervention. Most doctors support and understand the importance of managing one’s health as it relates to their lifestyle, nutrition, and exercise choices, but teaching those skills is not typically their responsibility. E Squared Health Coaches aim to support any medical care that you’re currently under as it relates to your nutrition, exercise, or lifestyle habits. If needed, we can also recommend a physician in your area who works specifically with our team.


Is my personal health information safe?

Yes! We take privacy very seriously. Our coaching platform (web and mobile) is HIPAA compliant, and each coach only has access to their own client’s records.

Do you take insurance?

At this time, no. We do not accept health insurance to cover the cost of health coaching services. However, your HSA or FSA debit card can be used as your form of payment for billing.
